PS: My submission is a review article, not a research article. Review articles generally have a longer review time.
1. After submission, the status changes to "Manuscript submission" (something like that).
2. One to two days later, the status changes to "Under consideration," and the status date is shown as the first date.
3. After about a month, the status remains "Under consideration," but the status date changes to the second date. From my understanding, this journal does not have an "under review" status. The first "Under consideration" (status date one) means the editor has received and is evaluating the manuscript, while the second "Under consideration" (status date two) means the manuscript has been sent to the reviewers and is awaiting their feedback.
4. After about another month, the reviewers will provide their comments.
5. The time it takes to revise the manuscript depends on the editor. The whole process takes about two months, and the revision time varies.
6. The editor is friendly, patient, and has moderate efficiency. There is no delay.
7. The two time periods mentioned (one month each) are based on my personal experience. Experts may have a faster process. It's also important to be patient. If the first editor takes too long for the review, there is a high probability that the second reviewer's time period will be for major revisions or rejection (this is my personal opinion).
