Posted in August 2021, received reviewer comments in December, made two major revisions and one minor revision. Revised in January 2022, received new reviewer comments in February, made three minor revisions. Revised by the end of March, accepted in mid-April! The review process is really slow. The first round of review took four months, and to make matters worse, I am in the field of marine geochemistry, but they assigned a reviewer from the field of physical oceanography. I was mentally drained answering his questions.

An article on ocean-air interaction was done quite easily. Originally, I planned to submit it to the English version of the Journal of Oceanography, but my advisor suggested trying JGR Oceans. After nearly three months, I received the first round of comments, with minor revisions requested by two reviewers. It took me a few days to make the modifications, and I resubmitted it on the third day. No wonder their impact factor is not increasing; it seems they have accepted too many articles like mine...
