Organic and inorganic waste post a great challenge to the environment consequent upon indiscriminate discharge of pollutants resulting from increase in industrial and domestic applications of synthetic materials. This is a wake-up call for action globally to combat the menace by designing, synthesizing and applying complex resins for removal of pollutants from the environment. The use of Metal-Organic Frameworks could be explored for this purpose owing to their high surface area and many functional groups.
