I have a question to ask everyone. The editor sent an email saying that modifications should be made using "track changes" mode. However, if I specify the modifications in the responses section by mentioning the line number, the reviewer can only match it with the simple mode line numbers. If they want to see all the modifications in detail, the line numbers won't match.
My advisor is very unhappy about this and says that after reviewing so many manuscripts, he has never seen anyone use the track changes mode. He asked me to use red highlighting.
I want to ask if everyone else also uses red highlighting?
