2021.11.5 Submission
2021.12.28 Major revision
2022.1.7 Resubmission
2022.1.20 Acceptance
Next, waiting for payment. The 53 days for the first review is twice as long as the 26 days mentioned on the official website. Waiting is truly exhausting.

熬夜等天黑 2022-01-20

In the second review, it has been sent back for 10 days, and there is no news. I don't know how long the second review process of this journal takes.

Received the first-instance opinions after a full two months, with one directly accepted and another raising six questions. The editor provided minor revisions for the questions, which were mainly explanations. The main paper was not modified and was directly replied to the reviewer, then submitted. Currently waiting... hoping to receive the desired outcome before the Spring Festival.

After the rejection from JBC, I suggest submitting to RSC Adv. To be honest, if the preparation for submission is more thorough, there is a chance with JBC. However, overall, the level and speed of the peer review, for my own experiments, I feel that the reviewers are professional and their comments are fair. The only drawback is that I hope for a better platform. But everything is difficult at the beginning, having the first SCI paper in my life as a medical student who is not involved in chemical engineering is still satisfying. I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field of materials in the future and continue working on the topic.

Ah, Christmas and New Year's have passed, it has been two months since the manuscript was submitted, but still no news. The editor even proactively sent an email to comfort me, saying that they haven't received the reviewers' comments yet. It's really difficult to wait!

tt0000000 2021-12-28

I'm 23 days old, and there is still no news.

石头先生 2021-12-15

My general estimation is to have one review opinion every month and a half, one major revision, and one minor revision.

I am 23 days old, and there is no news.

huang2021 2021-12-14

It's just because it's fast that I invested... Mine has been over a month too, and there's no news.

熬夜等天黑 2021-12-14

It's been 40 days already, still no news. Everyone says the journal is fast, why is mine so slow...

石头先生 2021-12-09

Generally, it takes about a month to provide the first-instance opinion.

爱科研的小张同学 2021-12-09

This magazine is relatively fast. Submitted on October 13th, received sixty to seventy review comments on October 27th, revised and returned on November 26th, minor revision on December 6th, and accepted on December 8th.

It has been a month since the status of peer review, and there have been no changes. I wonder how long it will take for the first review of this journal?

小牛牛吃骨头 2021-12-02

I think it is possible that the reviewer believed that the content of the article did not match his research area. Therefore, without review, it was sent back to the editor's hands.

bluesss 2021-12-01

Hello, my status also fluctuates. My status basically jumps once a week. I want to ask if this situation means that the reviewer there is unwilling to review?

波光粼粼 2021-11-26

May I ask how much it costs to publish in this journal? Thank you!

爱科研的小张同学 2021-11-25

Hello~ I'd like to ask if you know what "table of contents entry" means in terms of uploading?

yuxiao 2021-11-23

May I ask, how much does it cost?

Y先森 2021-11-22

In 2021, submitted on August 30th.
Returned with major revisions on September 26th.
Re-submitted on October 17th.

Published on November 15th.

7.19 Submission
7.19-9.6 Major revision
9.24-10.18 Minor revision
10.18-10.21 Acceptance
Before the formal review process, there were five or six rounds of back and forth between "with editor" and "in peer review". The formal review process took approximately half a month, resulting in major revisions. However, there was no specific deadline for receiving the revised manuscript, so reminders were sent four times between 9.6 and 9.24. Nonetheless, the editor and reviewers were still very professional and raised relevant questions based on the content of the article, which is worth learning from.

8.20 Submission
Between 8.20 and 10.10, it was constantly in the status of "with editor" and "in peer review". It seems that the appropriate field experts were not found.
Between 10.11 and 11.1, three reviewers agreed to review the manuscript.
On 11.3, received reviewer comments, two minor revisions and one rejection; the editor agreed to publish after modifications.
On 11.4, submitted revised comments.
On 11.9, accepted.

Overall, the submission process took three months, mainly due to the long review period. For reference.

It has been 3 days with editor.

The decision letter has not been written, but the editor will remind for the submission in about two weeks.

8.25 Submission.
9.18 Major renovation.
10.5 Return.
10.13 Reception.

ZJH123 2021-10-14

Hello, may I ask if Xiaoxiu Editor has given a deadline for the modifications?

路过蜻蜓 2021-10-11

I submitted a review on August 18th. It took about two months and was rejected on October 11th. There were three reviewers, one recommended acceptance and two recommended rejection. The editor suggested submitting to Royal Society Open Science. After looking into this journal, I found that the average review period is three and a half months. I also saw comments from some people who had been waiting for seven months without any response, and it took nine months for them to be accepted. The editor mentioned that when submitting to this journal, it might be helpful to mention any previous submissions to RSC Advances. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced being rejected by RSC Advances and then accepted by Royal Society Open Science. Is the review process faster there? Three and a half months is too long.
