No need. If there are other authors who have not been confirmed, you can confirm before the final review of the paper. If other authors change their email, they can email the editor during the review period to explain the situation, and the editor will resend the confirmation link to the other authors. Note: all other authors need to register in Applied Energy.

Olaf 2021-09-13

Don't need all the authors' agreement, just wait a little longer.

Fancy丨 2021-09-10

Hello, do you need all authors to register an account and confirm their agreement to submit? It has been two days and it is still in the "submitted to journal" stage.

Fancy丨 2021-09-10

May I ask if all authors need to register an account and confirm their consent to submit? It has been two days and it is still in the "submitted to journal" stage.

TENCAT 2021-09-09

My senior classmate has published five articles in two years, but this journal is definitely not a low-quality one. There are usually 4-5 reviewers at the minimum, and sometimes even more, up to seven or eight. He writes articles using data from the national laboratory, which makes it relatively easier. However, if there is no innovation and only data is presented, it will not pass the review.

丁丁小学渣 2021-09-08

Yes, obviously it is a lack of balance in one's own center. The top two in the field of energy application, as you mentioned, are completely useless. Based on my experience of submitting and reviewing articles, the quality of applied energy papers and the reviewers is even worse than that of ECM.

Being able to write five articles from October until now is really impressive. Keep up the good work!

From October until now, being able to write five articles is quite impressive. Keep up the good work.

This magazine is becoming more and more difficult to publish in. From October last year until now, I have submitted five papers, but none of them have been sent for review. Every time the editorial board refuses to review them and gives me a lot of suggestions for revision, finally hoping that I will receive satisfactory replies from elsewhere.

Oppp 2021-08-19

Me too. I have been working as an editor for more than ten days. What's the situation, are we on a break?

Excuse me, everyone. How long does it usually take for this journal to be reviewed? The associate editor has been handling it for two weeks, and it is still with the editor.

WLYCG 2021-08-17

Can I ask everyone if the change in "under review" status means that the original reviewer rejected the review and a new reviewer has been assigned?

科研小菜 2021-08-13

Me too, for two rounds, with 6 reviewers each time, and there's always 1-2 people who don't like it, saying the article is not good, and then it gets rejected.

胖胖加油鸭 2021-08-12

I have to complain a bit, the editing power is too great.
The first review took two months, with revisions given. The editor and three reviewers were involved.
In the second review, all the reviewers approved, but the editor provided five suggestions.
About a week after the second review, the editor rejected the manuscript, citing poor innovation, literature review, and logical flow.
It took five months of ups and downs, and I feel speechless about it.

One of the top publications in the energy field, with an official website acceptance rate of less than 11%. Has it been reduced to a worthless publication that guarantees publication? Then it goes on to mislead everyone with a bunch of nonsense. I'm afraid it's just a case of pseudo-science. If you have the ability, why don't you share your paper's DOI for everyone to see?

2022zhuce 2021-08-11

Writing so many words clearly shows that you have lost your balance in your mind and are still pretending to be infallible in your predictions. Which unit are you from?

kafeiji 2021-08-11

After reading several Chinese papers, I found that most of them are just as the OP described. It seems that this is indeed a common approach. However, there are many options for energy sources, after all, there are many journals, and most of them have high impact factors and rankings. There will always be some successes, unlike civil and mechanical engineering, which are more difficult. So, let's slowly rely on luck.

Got another paper accepted and I want to share some experience with everyone. This journal has a high impact factor and is well-regarded. However, the quality of the articles is average and not as impressive as everyone claims, clearly weaker than Trans. Here are some suggestions for submitting: 1. It is preferable for the authors to have foreign connections, as pure Chinese authors are more likely to be rejected. 2. One person should have affiliations with multiple institutions, for example, being affiliated with a domestic university and also having an affiliation with a foreign institution. This gives the impression that you are well-connected and work for multiple research institutions, even if the connection is somewhat forced. 3. Make sure to have multiple research grants, preferably 3-5, even if they aren't directly related to the research. Find a way to include them. 4. Be bold in self-promotion and make sure the visuals are impressive. 5. Recommend reviewers who you personally know. 6. The authors should come from different institutions. The editor of this journal likes this approach. I am graduating soon and no longer need to keep this a secret. I am passing on this experience to everyone. Our research group has a high success rate in getting published, and these tips are our secret weapons. Take it and you're welcome. With so many articles being published every year, it's not all about innovation; it's all about talking.

2022zhuce 2021-08-10

Innovation requires very high demands, and it is difficult to achieve small improvements in traditional systems.

Recently, I submitted two articles to the laboratory. The first article had nine reviewers, and the second article had eight reviewers. Unfortunately, both articles were rejected directly by the editor due to one reviewer giving unfavorable comments. It's a bit frustrating!

投什么都中!! 2021-07-29

As of today, the decision is still in process. I hope for good luck.

chang0105 2021-07-28

Wait patiently for good news from the host.

hsk0059 2021-07-26

I submitted an article in early July 2020, with four reviewers providing relatively neutral feedback. In early September, I received a rejection from the editor, who did not suggest resubmission or revision. However, due to focusing on writing my doctoral thesis, I put the article aside. In May of this year, I resubmitted it with the following process:

- May 10: Submitted to the journal
- May 14: Under review by the editor
- May 15: Under review by the editor
- May 15: Reviewer invited
- May 17: Under review
- June 8: Under review
- June 28: Under review
- July 16: Required review completed
- July 19: Required review completed
- July 26: Decision in process

I am hoping for good news.

It seems to be Editor-in-Chief Yan.

WLYCG 2021-07-20

Which editor did you encounter?

熊@熊 2021-07-19

The opinions of the editor and reviewers are very fair and overall it is very good. It is worth recommending.

WLYCG 2021-07-19

May I ask if anyone has encountered a fast and friendly APEN editor during their work?

落夕的记忆 2021-07-18

The revised version is accepted, and the reviewer is very professional.
