Update status: Currently still with the editor, unsure if it is possible to expedite the submission.

2021.1.20 Submitted to Journal
2021.2.1 with editor
2021.4.4 under review
2021.5.6 Required Reviews Completed
2021.5.12 Minor revision
2021.5.24 Revision Submitted to Journal
2021.5.26 With Editor
2021.5.31 under review
2021.6.11 Accept

My understanding is that "with editor" means the manuscript has been sent to the reviewers for evaluation, and "under review" indicates that the reviewers are currently assessing the manuscript. The duration of "with editor" may be shorter because a decision has already been made to send it for review, whereas other journals may send manuscripts for review directly. This is for reference purposes.

Today I saw an article that was submitted around the same time as mine. It has already been accepted, while mine is still "with editor". What kind of operation is this?

我爱搬砖 2021-05-28

It feels like it should be coming to you in February, right? It's been about three months. Why is this journal so slow?

斯维特企鹅 2021-05-26

I invested in February, 00642, and haven't received any news yet.

xsyyt 2021-05-24

Brother, my 01127 is also with the editor.

我爱搬砖 2021-05-21

What is the current batch processing number? My article number 21-01288, from little brother 0329, is still with the editor.

In the field of new energy, the whole process took 14 months. It may face delays due to the pandemic, resulting in a long cycle.

2020.03 - Submitted
2020.05 - Under review
2021.03 - Major revision
2021.04 - Revision submitted
2021.05 - Accepted

Overall, the reviewers were very professional and raised constructive and insightful questions. If there is no rush to publish, I recommend trying this journal.

Can you still see the step assigned to the assistant editor? Mine is just "with editor".

cytong 2021-04-27

Yes, it was distributed to the deputy editor afterwards.

Hello, may I ask if the language spoken after "with editor" is not proficient?

cytong 2021-04-23

Submitted at the end of August 2020, rejected in early March due to language issues. After being polished by Elsevier in mid-April, it was resubmitted and is still in the "submitted to journal" status after 10 days. If there is an urgent need, it is not recommended to submit as it is too slow.

夜幕初下 2021-04-04

It took 14 months.
Submitted in early January 2020.
Sent for review in early April 2020.
Received initial review comments in September 2020.
Received second review comments at the end of November 2020.
Received third review comments in February 2020.
Accepted in March 2020.
It seems that there was an increase in submission volume due to the previous epidemic, so the processing speed became extremely slow.
I asked about my submission, and it was considered fast to be in the editor's hands for three months before being sent for review, as there were known cases where it took five months to be sent for review.

I am rejected directly due to high similarity rate. How much similarity rate does this journal require? Can you share it? Thank you.

I am rejected due to a high similarity rate. How much similarity rate does this journal require? Where do you check for similarity and reduce it? Can you share it with me? Thank you.

I also got rejected due to a high similarity rate. How much similarity rate does this journal require? Where do you check and reduce similarity? Can you share it with me? Thank you.

刘静杰同学 2021-03-13

What is the required rate of similarity for this journal? Where can you check for plagiarism and reduce similarity?

刘静杰同学 2021-03-13

What is the plagiarism rate requirement for this journal? Did you check for plagiarism before submitting it?

zaq 2021-03-01

The translation of the text into English is: "It's the same as your reviewing process, without any rejection reasons. Now, we are about to graduate, and I'm stuck in the same spot, damn it."

CaYoo 2021-02-28

Posted in August 2020, it took the editor 6 and a half months, and then it was directly rejected. This is ridiculous, wasting half a year for nothing. Isn't it better to submit to another journal?

李同学 2021-02-13

It has been nearly seven months, and there is still no outcome from the first review. What a terrible journal! Literature reviews emphasize timeliness, but it has been over half a year without any result. If the paper is rejected and needs to be submitted elsewhere, it would require updating the references, which is a huge hassle!

WD0256 2021-01-23

It's normal. I submitted twice, both were with the editor for a whole 7 months before being sent for review. After the review, it came back in a little over a month. The major revisions took a month, and the minor revisions took 15 hours. As long as it's sent for review, it will be quick. The slow part is being with the editor, which is normal for six or seven months.

Oppp 2021-01-17

After 6 months, the research paper is finally submitted for review. This journal is really slow.
