After accepting the submission, you just have to wait for the proof. This process may take a while. The proofing process involves sending an email to your communication mailbox with the attached well-formatted article for proofing. Any changes should be marked in the PDF file, and then you can reply to the email with detailed explanations of the locations. After the proofing is complete, it will be published online. The subsequent pagination for the yearly volume will be even slower. If you don't mind, you can add the editor's WeChat and try to see if you can jump the queue. The article I accepted in August has already been scheduled for the second volume of next year, which I found out after asking my supervisor. There's a lot to say about domestic journals.

Accepted on September 2nd. It took quite a long time, as it wasn't a major group submission, and not every article submitted within the group gets accepted. Thank you to the editor and reviewers.

The article is based on interdisciplinary research, applying femtosecond laser micro-nano processing in the manufacture of super-hydrophobic electrodes. It is proven that the small research group is innovative in interdisciplinary studies, which is truly perplexing. Initially, we wanted to try Angew, but the editor did not agree with our work and suggested submitting to a fourth-tier journal. We argued and requested for review. In the end, all three reviewers rejected the paper, stating that the research depth was insufficient for publishing in Angew, but they all acknowledged the importance of the work. Unfortunately, we are a small and resource-limited group and did some additional in-depth supplementation. Later, AFM suggested submitting to a Small sub-journal, ACS nano sent a good person card rejecting the paper with appreciation but suggesting submitting to a more specialized journal as soon as possible, and the domestic JEC provided a template rejection email. We were rejected along the way, feeling disheartened. Finally, we followed our teacher's advice and tried Nano Research.

Nano Research does not have a so-called circle culture, and the editors are experts in various fields, with a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge disciplines. Although the journal did not score a perfect 10, it can be seen that Nano Research is making progress. The publication volume increased in 2020 and it managed to withstand the competition. It has reached a higher level compared to journals like JEC. In addition, with the reputation of Tsinghua University and the support of academician Li Yadong and being selected as a leading journal, Nano Research can stand strong among many domestic journals. If the work is excellent enough, it is worth considering submitting to Nano Research.

Submission Experience:
(1) Before I submitted my paper, I saw some people saying it was an insider journal and relied on connections. At first, I hesitated as well.
(2) The first submission was reviewed 20 days later by two reviewers. The teachers were very professional and pointed out the key issues. It was rejected (but I learned a lot). Therefore, based on the feedback, I made significant revisions and added more evidence.
(3) I submitted again for the second time. After 20 days, it underwent external review and then received major revisions. After careful modifications, I resubmitted. Approximately 15 days later, it was accepted.
(4) Looking back, whether the paper is accepted or not, the quality of the article always comes first. My own research group is not a large one, and the concept of insider journals doesn't exist. It is clear to me when I submit my articles.
Finally, I wish your journal continued success and encourage everyone to submit. Even if rejected, you can learn a lot from it. Thank you to the reviewing teachers.

The impact factor has been hovering around 8.5 for years. In the current market where the impact factors of material science journals are rapidly increasing, not increasing means a relative decrease. Currently, the journal is supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences to enter the first division of materials science journals, but its long-term prospects are not optimistic because it has not shown much growth.
