I heard that it will take two weeks to receive news. Good luck!

Kizuna 2022-02-07

Posted on February 1st, the editorial department sent it back in the afternoon for format corrections. The corrections were completed in the evening and resubmitted.
On February 2nd, still no progress with the editor... It's my first submitted article and I hope it gets accepted! Fingers crossed!

It is normal. It is difficult for those who do not have a hat to submit to this kind of journal. With a hat, it becomes much easier for this kind of journal.

For my own field, the peer review process of Angewandte Chemie is relatively more relaxed compared to Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS). The requirements for performance are not particularly high, but more emphasis is placed on the originality and storytelling of the articles. In my institution, Angewandte Chemie is on par with JACS and enjoys the same level of recognition, making it a high-value option. My first article with a impact factor above 10, and with this article, I have been able to secure various scholarships. I am grateful!

It's not easy. Just received the feedback one month after submission. One paper was directly accepted, while the other received many suggestions and was rejected. The editor requested a resubmission. After three weeks of resubmission, the second reviewer was still not satisfied with the application and rejected it. The boss appealed and sent it to a third reviewer, who suggested major revisions and accepted the paper. The editor requested another resubmission for further modifications. After two weeks, it was directly accepted. The additional experiments conducted later convinced the second reviewer. The whole process took nearly half a year. So, be patient, respond to the comments carefully, and there will always be good results.

Do Chinese people look down on other Chinese people? Are Chinese names really inferior to foreign names?

I hope that every researcher can succeed, as it is not easy for anyone.

Just submitted a Minireview, the outcome is unknown.

Amphiaraus 2021-10-13

Has anyone submitted a minireview?

Two reviewers provided vague suggestions, while the editor rejected the submission. However, we still believed that our work was worth submitting, so we argued about it. Surprisingly, the subsequent process went smoothly as both reviewers agreed to accept it directly.

Great but somewhat agonizing submission experience! I have previously submitted to Angew a few times, but they were all rejected without review! So, this time, I was always worried about repeating the same mistakes.

Submitted on May 1st (research article), it took about 4-5 days for the system to show "Under Review";
On June 10th, exactly one month later (30 days), I received feedback from two reviewers, both of whom considered it highly important (>20%). The editor provided 20 days for revisions;
On June 30th, I submitted the revised manuscript;
On July 15th, I received the second round of feedback, which was sent to the reviewer who had raised more revision suggestions. That reviewer raised a minor issue, and the editor suggested a format change (shortening the length by 5%). I readily accepted the condition and was given a DOI number.

Looking forward to making further contributions in future research within this top journal.

Great submission experience. Submitted in early March and received the first review on April 21st. One reviewer suggested a 5% revision, another suggested 20%, and the last one suggested 40%. The editor requested major revisions. After submitting the revised version on May 2nd, it took 25 days to receive acceptance. The speed seems slightly slower compared to JACS, but the process is equally professional and rigorous. The editor clearly stated that if major revisions were still needed, the submission would be rejected directly.

[Direction of Biochemistry, Communication Format]
Submitted on April 19th, and sent for review on the same day. Received reviewer comments on April 28th, both reviewers' opinions were relatively positive, both in the top 20%. Additional experiments were required. The editor provided major revisions and requested them to be completed by May 19th. Revised on May 19th, notified of acceptance on June 1st, but minor format revisions were needed. After completing the format modifications on June 3rd, the editor notified final acceptance and went directly online.
A big shoutout to the editorial board of Angewandte journal! Their efficiency is truly extraordinary!
For a biologists accustomed to submitting and revising for half a year, normalizing for a year, and remaining calm for two years, Angewandte is truly lightning fast!
Wishing Angewandte continued success!

Submit for review in 2 days, as it is a research article, the editor provided comments on the 21st day. Two comments were given with a 5% VIP rating, and one suggestion was to resubmit. The questions asked were all very simple and minor. The editor gave 3 weeks to make revisions. It took 6 days to complete the revisions, resulting in a 26-page response letter with over 8000 words. On the third day after resubmission, it was directly accepted without further review by the reviewers. The entire process, from submission to acceptance, took 29 days. It was a very pleasant experience, and I hope Angew continues to improve!

子瓜cosmic 2021-04-18

It has been 6 days already, and I have been with the editor all this time. Why is it taking so long?

熬夜的博士 2021-04-09

The submission was sent for review three days ago, but the reviewer took 70 days to respond. After urging, they finally came back with two opinions. One reviewer placed it in the top 20%, while the other criticized it completely. Oh well, reviewers really know how to delay... It would be better if they rejected it sooner.

I don't know who the current editor-in-chief is either. The header when writing CL is "Editor," so the editorial department members should be able to be found on the journal's introduction page.

糯米星人薯片 2021-02-09

Excuse me, who is the current editor-in-chief? I didn't know who to address when I submitted, and I couldn't find it either. Please let me know, it's urgent. Thank you.

Submitted on December 1st, received the reviewer's comments on the 28th, and the evaluation was quite positive. The revised manuscript and response letter were sent to the editor on January 16th, just before the deadline. It was accepted on the 18th and published online on the 21st. Overall, the process was quite fast.
