I think you may not have understood it. First of all, journals and computer science itself are different. CS is a top-tier journal, but not necessarily the type of article that JMST requires. The number of articles published in comprehensive journals in a certain field is also limited. If similar level articles are only accepted 10 times a year, the first 8 may be relatively easy, but afterwards, it becomes more competitive. Secondly, did you really submit according to the requirements? Your format or requirements may be incorrect, and the editor-in-chief may reject it at first glance, which is normal. Recently, I saw someone (a domestic author) getting a short article published in this journal with an unexpectedly high impact factor. So, I decided to shorten one of my long articles and submitted it as a letter. However, to my surprise, it was rejected the very next day at 9 am, with the explanation that the journal receives too many submissions and they couldn't even identify who the editor was. I believe my article is of much better quality than the recent publication. I wondered if my research was not thorough enough, so I resubmitted the original longer article. Again, it was rejected the next day at around 10 am. It seems like my articles were rejected even before reaching the hands of professional editors. I don't think my article is that bad. I have now sent it for review to a different journal, Corrosion Science. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the UK and thought that by submitting to an international journal like JMST, it would increase its global impact and give me some advantage.
