What basis is there for the analysis downstairs? Is it the inclusion of articles from January 2020 and January 2021 on the web? If that's the case, it does show signs of a shrinking number of submissions. Moreover, even though IF should be considered the most accurate in April-May. However, I do agree with you that ACS has been focusing on the layout of materials. In the past, ACS has primarily focused on chemistry, but in recent years, many publishing houses have seen a rise in materials journals, and ACS is not foolish. They should be able to operate AMI and other materials journals well. I am looking forward to the future development of AMI.

I really didn't realize that Ami is controlling the amount of published articles... It seems like there is still a growth of nearly 1000 articles every year... Compared to journals of the same level three years ago, the quality is clearly falling behind.

Currently, the instant IF (Impact Factor) is 8.77, and it is predicted to be around 9.0. ACS AMI is commendable for continuously expanding its publication volume while maintaining a sustained increase in impact factor. Currently, the quality and reputation of articles are being benchmarked against top-tier journals. With several sub-journals obtaining IF, AMI is preparing to control the number of submissions to further improve the quality of articles. ACS is truly making a strong push in the field of materials.
