Submitted on May 14th, received the email from the assigned editor on around the 19th and sent for review. The review process was really fast! Online sources mentioned that reviewers are given 21 days for review.
Received the major revision comments on June 4th, given 21 days for revision. Also received non-specific modifications and an invitation for additional cover (which required payment, so I declined as it didn't seem meaningful).
Replied to the revision comments on June 16th, there were no difficult questions, so the response was relatively easy. Made a few small experiments to supplement.
Now it's the anxious waiting period.
Finally received a response on July 8th, and it was accepted directly!!!
First time submitting, went through many difficulties, but finally got accepted in AMI. Sincere thanks to Prof. Nicolas Voelcker for editing, the speed was really impressive! It made me realize that even after major revisions, direct acceptance is possible! (I thoroughly checked the formatting issues, including reference format and capitalization of each word in the article title when responding to the revision comments)
The important thing is plagiarism check, I'm not sure about the specific requirement, but I checked and found 21% similarity, with the highest single section being 1%, and they didn't ask me to reduce it further.

On June 8th, the first round of reviewer's comments came back. There were three reviewers, one minor revision, and two major revisions, totaling around 35 issues.
On June 28th, the revised manuscript was sent back. Three days later, the editor prepared to accept it directly, with only two minor issues modified. The whole process took about two months, which can be considered relatively smooth.

Submitted on April 16th, then the editor-in-chief discovered that we had written the title wrong and helped us correct it. As a result, the editing time was slightly delayed compared to usual, and it was assigned on April 24th. It was displayed for review on May 3rd.
