It took another half a month to receive the reviewers' comments, which was extremely inefficient. The most disappointing part was in mid-August when my advisor felt it had been a long time and emailed the editor to inquire about the status. The editor replied that they had received comments from two reviewers and were waiting for the third one. On October 4th, I received the rejection letter, and upon opening it, I found that there were only comments from two reviewers. One of them simply stated that the paper lacked innovation and rejected it directly, while the other provided six suggestions for improvement regarding the innovation aspect. In other words, I wasted two months from August to October. Submitting a paper feels like going on a blind date. If it's not a match, it's better to be straightforward and direct. Everyone's time is valuable, and there's really no need for this.
