The review process took four months, which was quite lengthy. Two reviewers were invited, but only one accepted the invitation and completed the review within ten days. However, we did not receive a response from the second reviewer after waiting for eight weeks. A reminder was sent, and based on the comments of the sole reviewer, the editor provided revisions.

After the revisions were made, the article was supposed to be sent back to the original reviewer, but the invitation was still not accepted. Another reminder was sent four weeks later, requesting the editor to send another review invitation. After an additional two weeks, the editor accepted the article based on the feedback from the only reviewer.

This journal submission really depends on luck. If you encounter a responsible editor, the speed and quality of your article's acceptance will be improved. However, if you encounter a lousy editor, then you're done for. In the past, I submitted an article and it was published within two months. But this time, it has been three months and I haven't even received the first review. I remind everyone to be cautious when submitting.
