Submitted in mid-February 2021, received reviewer comments one month later. One accepted directly, one major revision. Associate editor provided the major revision. However, there were very few comments for the revision. Returned after 20 days of revision. Received acceptance comments on May 3rd.

TGRS review time is unpredictable; previously had a submission accepted in less than two months, so this time is considered relatively fast. Previously, there was also an acceptance after one year. It mainly depends on the reviewers appointed by the editor. If the review process is fast, the feedback is also quick. However, in the end, acceptance usually happens when the reviewers have no further comments.

Looking forward to TGRS maintaining this practice of accepting remote sensing research comprehensively. Otherwise, fundamental research will face significant challenges in finding a way out.

Solidly deriving formulas and developing models are becoming less common because there are not many projects that can be obtained by doing so. This is why TGRS was considered a prestigious journal several decades ago because senior scientists were patient in deriving formulas and studying mechanisms.
