After revisions, it took about a month for the second review. The opinions of the first and second reviewers came back, and they agreed to accept the paper directly, possibly because the first reviewer had a positive opinion and the editor did not wait for the opinion of the third reviewer and accepted it directly.

I am still quite happy. This is my second energy paper, and I will continue to work hard this year!

The initial submission was made in early September 2022, and the first round of revisions was completed by mid-January 2023.

After submitting the revised manuscript in early February 2022, it was accepted within a week.

Overall, the review speed of the first round is a bit long, averaging around 4.5 months. However, once the revisions are made, the speed becomes very fast, and the editors' handling speed is also very fast.

Journal editors actually handle things very promptly. The reason for the slowness lies with the reviewers, because they are not obligated to review. However, this time is worth it after all, considering the high impact factor, the level of the journal, and the high recognition.
