May I ask if there has been any progress with your submission? My submission is also "decision in process," and I would like to know approximately how long it will take to receive any news.

I think the transfer is quite fast. It takes about a month to review and give feedback once.

Send an email to the journal and ask what's going on. I can't believe it, this journal hasn't made any progress for over a month. Sending emails to urge them is also useless.

My manuscript has been revised twice. It has been about two weeks since the second major revision was sent back for further revision. The interface shows "UR," but the Elsevier tracking system does not indicate that any reviewers have been invited. I don't know what the situation is.

May I ask what stage your manuscript is currently in? I just submitted one to a magazine and it got rejected. I also recommended this journal, but everyone says the handling speed is very slow. I'm considering switching journals, but I'm afraid it will take too long and delay my graduation. I wonder if the speed of switching journals is faster? Poor medical student.

No, it has been over a month. I sent a reminder email and they asked me to wait patiently. Damn it.

Brother (sister), have you received your results? Today, I also began the "Decision in Process."

Dr. Luan 2023-05-29

After three months of repair, it is still "with editor". What kind of magazine is this?

桐老师 2023-05-29

20230501 submitting
20230510 with editor
20230521 under review
I will continue to provide comments once there are results.

Ssyyds09 2023-05-29

I sent an email to the editor, and the reply was to patiently wait. It really requires careful consideration as it is too slow to submit this.

Anderson028 2023-05-29

I have also been provisionally employed since 2 months after the revision was submitted to the journal. Has there been no editing process?

Ssyyds09 2023-05-28

When I submitted it, it was about a week ago.

bianwei 2023-05-28

Dude, how long did it take for you to submit the contribution?

bianwei 2023-05-28

It has been 8 days and still no progress, is it because there are too many submissions?

Ssyyds09 2023-05-26

Received acceptance in principle on March 28th, but since the revision was submitted to the journal on the 31st, it has remained unchanged. It has been almost two months.

菜鸡也想发顶刊 2023-05-17

Not yet out, panicked. Today happens to be exactly three weeks, and I gave two weeks for the previous two revisions. For the major revision, I applied for an extra week.

530675578 2023-05-17

The revision was given a time limit of 21 days.

530675578 2023-05-17

Has your result come out now? I returned for repairs the day before yesterday, and today it is under review.

菜鸡也想发顶刊 2023-05-17

Ah? It shows that it is a major revision and minor revision.

530675578 2023-05-16

How to determine if it is a major repair or a minor repair, revise it directly for me.

菜鸡也想发顶刊 2023-05-11

2.14 Submission
3.8 Feedback, major revision
3.31 Submission
4.12 Feedback, minor revision
4.24 Submission
4.26 Decision in process
So far, there have been no changes, and I don't know why it hasn't been reviewed. I would like to ask if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

One round of review takes about a month, and one month for revisions. In total, it takes six months.

I have a question for the experts: What is the status of the proof stage paper? I am not the corresponding author and I cannot receive emails.

lyhbkz 2023-05-04

Ask the expert: What does the status "proof stage" mean for a paper? I am not the corresponding author and cannot receive emails.

lyhbkz 2023-05-04

I would like to ask a senior: How long does it usually take to receive the proof after a paper is accepted? What is the status of the paper in the submission system during the proof stage? I am not the corresponding author, so I don't receive emails.

The current reputation of SR overseas is still good, it is the Chinese themselves who have given it a bad name. Currently, the proportion of Chinese scholars publishing in SR is very low. Many people who criticize SR have either never published in it or are just spectating. It is not as good as it used to be. Cell itself is not a comprehensive journal, so it has established two comprehensive journals, iScience and Heliyon. The former still covers a narrow range of disciplines, so Heliyon needs to achieve full disciplinary coverage and requires a certain volume. Cell is more cautious and conservative, so it is unlikely that Heliyon will become a mega journal like SR. There is no need to compare Heliyon and SR, Cell has not stated that either. Nature has hundreds of journals, achieving full disciplinary coverage, and there is overlap and competition among its internal sub-journals. Cell and Science have too few sub-journals, so the current expansion is probably to solve the problem of disciplinary coverage. At least in this stage, it will not lower the quality and seek a dead end.

Is Heliyon going crazy? Not to mention the slow search. In 2023, it's expanding like crazy. The first issue has 423 articles, and the fourth issue has 877 articles. It's heading straight towards Scientific Reports at a speed of 180 miles per month...

On April 13, 2023, I switched from Surgery to Heliyon because the Surgery editor told me it would be reviewed quickly. However, it remained in the "submitted to journal" status for a while, and I thought it was hopeless. Finally, on April 27, it changed to "with editor," and on April 28, it became "under review." I hope for a positive outcome. Let's keep our spirits up! I will provide updates if there are any developments.
