The dates in between have not changed, and it is still in the same status as of May 8th. I see that some people submit their papers faster or slower. Should I send a reminder letter to urge the process? Our group submitted a paper on September 23rd last year, and it was accepted on December 14th. The speed was really fast. Why is mine so slow?

The proofreading process was so fast. I just submitted the proofreading and it was published the next day. However, for the print journal, I think it will be released in October. This proofreading system is really convenient and practical.

Article on the direction of environmental + DFT calculations. Submitted on June 23, 2022. Under review for less than a week, followed by a lengthy 6-month review process with three date changes. Four reviewers with not many comments, major revisions suggested by the editor. Revised in mid-February 2023, one additional reviewer with a few non-substantial comments. Accepted on April 4, 2023. Thanks to Fumitake Takahashi, the editor from Japan. I'm going crazy, it took 9 months from submission to acceptance...
