The external review was rejected (my research direction is environmental microbiology, but I unfortunately encountered a reviewer who solely focuses on environmental aspects. They said the measured indicators were incorrect and suggested measuring other indicators...). I was recommended to transfer to another journal, but I wanted to submit to a top-tier journal, so I rejected the transfer and resubmitted. Overall, it was not bad. The review process was average, with the first review taking two months. The editor was diligent and responsible, with three reviewers. Two of them thought it was excellent without any suggestions, while one provided 9 suggestions (mostly minor issues, unrelated to experiments and data, and recommended citing 3 references). The editor still requested major revisions and I diligently worked on it for a week. The revised manuscript was sent for a second review and it took one month to be accepted. It will soon exceed 6 points. Good luck to everyone!
