I transferred the manuscript from MD to this journal, and it took a long time for the transfer process. After one month of submission, I sent an email to urge the review process. However, the review speed was still quite fast, basically in line with the average review speed of 3.3 weeks stated on the homepage. There were two reviewers, one provided simple comments mainly focused on grammar errors and requested additional references. The other reviewer had a high level of expertise and pointed out weak evidence in multiple parts of the article, suggesting to supplement experiments to support the points and resubmit. The submission process was quite challenging, and it seems that the review standards of this journal are not low. The workload required is comparable to articles in the top-tier journals. A significant amount of time was spent on conducting additional experiments. I would recommend considering other top-tier journals before submitting to this one.
