This journal's review speed is quite subjective. I submitted three articles, and one of them took a surprising 7 and a half months to receive the first review comments.

Our group reviewed one article that was submitted in December last year, and we only found it for review in June this year.

The IEEE IOT journal has many special issues, which seems to be an attempt to attract top researchers to submit articles and increase the journal's influence.
