目标和范围
Ships and Offshore Structures is an international, peer-reviewed journal which provides an authoritative forum for publication and discussion of recent advances and future trends in all aspects of technology across the maritime industry.

The Journal covers the entire range of issues and technologies related to both ships (including merchant ships, war ships, polar ships etc.) and offshore structures (floating and fixed offshore platforms, offshore infrastructures, underwater vehicles etc.) with a strong emphasis on practical design, construction and operation.

Papers of interest to Ships and Offshore Structures will thus be broad-ranging, and will include contributions concerned with principles, theoretical/numerical modelling, model/prototype testing, applications, case studies and operational records, which may take advantage of computer-aided methodologies, and information and digital technologies. Whilst existing journals deal with technologies as related to specific topics, Ships and Offshore Structures provides a systematic approach to individual technologies, to more efficiently and accurately characterize the functioning of entire systems.

The Journal is intended to bridge the gap between theoretical developments and practical applications for the benefit of academic researchers and practising engineers, as well as those working in related governmental, public policy and regulatory bodies.

Ships and offshore structures is an SCI journal in the field of marine engineering. Its influence is considered above average compared to other marine journals. The editor-in-chief, Prof. Jeom Kee Paik, is a renowned expert in the field of bending and buckling. It is recommended for authors to submit their articles to this journal for the following reasons:

1. The review process is relatively efficient in this field. I usually receive the reviewer's comments and decision within 2 to 3 months. The editor is also efficient in their work and more lenient in discussions.

2. The journal has a good international reputation, with contributions from marine experts and reputable institutions in China, Germany, South Korea, Norway, the Netherlands, and other countries.

3. The acceptance rate is 46%, which is considered very friendly. Articles of good quality have a good chance of being accepted.

4. The journal now covers not only marine structures but also other related areas such as control, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), waves, and more. Authors can submit articles in these areas as well.

5. It is advisable to cite articles from Ships and offshore structures in the submitted manuscripts as it increases the chances of acceptance.

Mysterious speed of manuscript review, submitted in September last year, just recorded today, the editing is very good. The manuscript has been urged four or five times in a year, and each time the editor patiently replied. It was in the second zone when it was submitted, but now it has been downgraded to the third zone, which is a bit embarrassing. Sharing the record time of submission:

24 September 2021 - With Editor
27 September 2021 - Out for Review
26 July 2022 - Revision Required
02 August 2022 - Revision Incomplete
02 August 2022 - Revised Manuscript Submitted
03 August 2022 - With Journal Administrator
03 August 2022 - With Editor
08 August 2022 - Out for Review
18 September 2022 - Reviews Complete
