2022-06-08 Received an email stating that an editor has been assigned and provided an article number.
However, half a year has passed, and the status in the system is still "with editor," with no updates or any emails. I sent an email inquiring about the progress after about three months, but did not receive a reply...
Now I am worried that if I send a withdrawal email to the editor and he does not respond, does it count as a successful withdrawal?
