This international journal is directed to researchers, engineers, educators, managers, programmers, and users of computers who have particular interests in parallel processing and/or distributed computing.

The Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing publishes original research papers and timely review articles on the theory, design, evaluation, and use of parallel and/or distributed computing systems. The journal also features special issues on these topics; again covering the full range from the design to the use of our targeted systems.

Let's talk about the timeline of the paper. We submitted our paper to the CCF B conference and it was accepted at that time. However, there were still many contents that could be added later. The journal added about 50% new content, and the paper expanded from 15 pages to 45 pages.

Submitted on July 5th, 2021,
Received major revisions in November 2021, returned for revisions at the end of November;
Received minor revisions on April 22nd, 2022, returned for revisions at the end of April;
Accepted on July 7th, 2022.

In summary, it took one year for the paper to be accepted.

The journal's homepage states that results will be given in 3 months. I submitted in July and received major revisions in November. A conference paper with additional content was submitted to this journal, and currently, it has 43 pages. The two reviewers had no issues with methods and experiments, only with the organization of the article. I have to make revisions by the end of November. Unfortunately, it is classified as a third-tier journal by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is completely unreasonable.
