Advances in Civil Engineering

Personally, I think that after the warning is lifted, this journal (referred to as ACE hereafter) should attract some students and teachers to submit articles. However, there is little experience after the warning is lifted, so I will record the timeline to provide some reference for everyone.

March 1st: Submission
March 8th: Various formatting issues and author's email problems were resolved
March 10th: An associate editor was assigned
March 24th: An academic editor was assigned
March 25th: Under review
April 7th: Reviewed and changed to pending approval
April 19th: Received feedback for major revisions
May 3rd: Completed revisions and submitted, entered under review on the same day
May 15th: Changed to pending approval
June 9th: Received reassessment email, indicating that potential issues were found in the peer review process of this paper. Another editor was assigned to review the entire process and it is possible that the reviewers will be rearranged.
June 9th: Changed to AE ASSIGNED
Afterwards, it remained in AE status. Two emails were sent in early and late July to urge for a response, but only received official replies.
July 31st: Suddenly changed to pending approval

Personally, I think there is no problem with the peer review. There were a total of more than ten questions asked, mostly about formatting and background introduction, without harsh criticism. Also, I don't know who these two people are. But they said there are problems.

Revision requested on September 14, 2020 (self-made, uploaded a stable version on WPS, but when others opened it, the pages got mixed up).
Revision requested on October 12, 2020 (based on the opinions of the reviewers, a total of 3 points, including lack of novelty, but AE gave an opportunity, so I wrote a 3-page PDF and sent it back).
Major revision on November 28, 2020 (around 20 points, wrote a 10-page PDF and sent it back).
Then, the status remained as AE assigned until January 25, 2021, when I sent a reminder email, and the assistant editor said AE has become unavailable, asking for patience.
Received acceptance email on February 11, 2021 (Chinese New Year's Eve).
Hinted to pay and upload all figures in .eps format on February 13, 2021.
Proof on February 25, 2021.
Online on February 27, 2021.
This article has a long timespan because there were some delays due to issues with the AE.
Also, I want to mention that although this journal has been warned, not all articles in the journal are of low quality. And there is a person called "一路有你" who is trying to persuade others to withdraw their manuscripts, really a jerk. Please stay away from him!!!
