Upper $2,000USD Lower $1,000USD First Prize: $2,000 and publication Second Prize: $1,000 and publication The winners will also be brought to Tulsa for the Awards Ceremony and Writing Conference in October or, if global health situations do not allow for an in-person conference, winners will take part in a virtual Awards Ceremony and reading. All finalists will be considered for publication.

Submitters do not have to be U.S. citizens, but must be living in the U.S. in October of 2021 to enter the contest. Author’s name must not appear on the manuscript.

The 43rd Nimrod Literary Awards - Founded by Ruth G. Hardman Consist of: The Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction & The Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry Poetry: 3-10 pages of poetry (one long poem or several short poems) Fiction: 7,500 words maximum (one short story or a self-contained excerpt from a novel) Eligibility Submitters do not have to be U.S. citizens, but must be living in the U.S. in October of 2021 to enter the contest.
