The editor is Mr. Ewald A. Werner, a very rigorous scholar from Germany. After reading some comments, I found that this old gentleman is accustomed to reviewing the manuscript first, including the format, language, and figures, which are evaluated at this stage. Then he gives an R&R, but as long as we can make the requested improvements, there shouldn't be any major issues. The manuscripts he is willing to review usually proceed quickly and have a high acceptance rate. Finally, I wish Mr. Werner a long and healthy life.

During my PhD, this was my first SCI publication. I experienced countless emotions and anxieties throughout the process, but the outcome was ultimately positive. There were a total of three reviewers, who not only provided feedback on basic issues but also offered many suggestions for improving the writing. The editor gave a "reject and resubmit" decision, with a two-month timeframe for revisions. After the second round of revisions, a minor issue was addressed and the manuscript was resubmitted the following day, resulting in immediate acceptance. The journal had strict requirements, particularly regarding English proficiency. I learned a lot during this period, which will greatly assist me in future submissions. I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Marco Jan Starink, the editor, for his fast and diligent handling of the manuscript.
