目标和范围
Results in Physics is an open access journal offering authors the opportunity to publish in all fundamental and interdisciplinary areas of physics, materials science, and applied physics. Papers of a theoretical, computational, and experimental nature are all welcome. Results in Physics accepts papers that are scientifically sound, technically correct and provide valuable new knowledge to the physics community. Topics such as three-dimensional flow and magnetohydrodynamics are not within the scope of Results in Physics.

Results in Physics welcomes three types of papers:

1. Full research papers

2. Microarticles: very short papers, no longer than two pages. They may consist of a single, but well-described piece of information, such as:
- Data and/or a plot plus a description
- Description of a new method or instrumentation
- Negative results
- Concept or design study

3. Letters to the Editor: Letters discussing a recent article published in Results in Physics are welcome. These are objective, constructive, or educational critiques of papers published in Results in Physics. Accepted letters will be sent to the author of the original paper for a response. Each letter and response is published together. Letters should be received within 8 weeks of the article's publication. They should not exceed 750 words of text and 10 references.

First submission, submitted on April 1st. Under review for about a week. Updated information after about a month, which took longer than expected. I resisted the urge to push for a response. On May 26th, received the first round of revisions after the initial review by two reviewers. The first reviewer provided two questions. The first question was a small suggestion (reasonable, but not necessary to make changes to the whole article). I explained it using a formula and performed simulations accordingly. The second question pointed out an error in a formula, which was accidentally omitted. The second reviewer gave clear recognition and recommendation for the article. They also provided many suggestions, pinpointing the exact mistakes and proposing ways to make the article more rigorous. Some of the questions were challenging to answer, and it took a lot of time to reply. Finally, the editor requested minor revisions. Sent it back on the 11th, and it went under review the next day. As of now, there is still no result. Hoping the second review won't take too long. Good luck to everyone.

Thank you everyone for your contributions, experiences, and suggestions. In addition, I had a conversation with a senior colleague who has a PhD, and it seems that the main reason for the varying speed of initial processing in this journal is the shortage of editors and the uneven distribution of submissions in different fields, which results in different processing speeds for editors. For example, it seems that optics generally takes a bit longer than nonlinear. Additionally, based on previous experiences shared by others, it seems that sometimes editors make decisions even with only one reviewer's response when being reminded about the submission. In conclusion, I hope that everyone's papers will be accepted smoothly! Currently, RIP is ranked 2nd in Zone 3 of the upgraded version of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and it is expected to have a slight increase in impact factor this year. We hope to continue improving and enter Zone 2.
