Aims and Scope
Metals (ISSN 2075-4701) is an open access journal of related scientific research and technology development. It publishes reviews, regular research papers (articles) and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Metals provides a forum for publishing papers which advance the in-depth understanding of the relationship between the structure, the properties or the functions of all kinds of metals.

I have been invited to edit a special issue for this journal, which mainly focuses on collecting papers related to the research and application of micro and thin heat pipes. We are looking forward to covering all aspects of the development of micro or thin heat pipes, including but not limited to metal processing, etching, packaging, preparation of capillary materials, fluid flow and surface phenomena in metals and capillary materials, as well as thin heat pipe testing methods, performance analysis, and industry applications, etc.

The editorial team promises a one-month turnaround for paper review comments. Additionally, there is a significant discount on open access publication fees for this special issue. Please contact me when submitting your paper.

Students and researchers who require fast review and acceptance may consider submitting their work.

Three reviewers provided feedback on my paper. The first reviewer made more than 20 comments, all of which were very helpful. One reviewer in particular was very thorough, printing out my paper and providing annotations on the physical document, pointing out both professional and language-related issues. This greatly improved the quality of my article. This reviewer, just like my materials, asked very professional questions and was a foreigner. I am very grateful! Although Metals entered the warning zone, I personally feel that the reviewing aspect was still very professional. Recently, they even sent me a request for a commissioned article and offered a discount~
