Aims and Scope

Energy Technology provides a forum for researchers and engineers from all relevant disciplines concerned with the generation, conversion, storage, and distribution of energy.

This new journal shall publish articles covering all technical aspects of energy process engineering from different perspectives, e.g.,

new concepts of energy generation and conversion;
design, operation, control, and optimization of processes for energy generation (e.g., carbon capture) and conversion of energy carriers;
improvement of existing processes;
combination of single components to systems for energy generation;
design of systems for energy storage;
production processes of fuels, e.g., hydrogen, electricity, petroleum, biobased fuels;
concepts and design of devices for energy distribution.

A paper about electrochemical simulation went through four submissions. Initially, it was submitted to JPC Letter but was rejected after three weeks. Then, it was submitted to the Journal of Physical Chemistry C and was rejected after two weeks. It was also submitted to Electrochimica Acta and was rejected after one month. Finally, following the suggestions, it was revised and submitted to EnergyTechnology, undergoing major and minor revisions. The reviewers were meticulous, and the editor was very helpful.

The journal is very fast, and feedback was provided 20 days after submission. There were two reviewers, one suggesting minor revisions and the other suggesting major revisions. A total of 10 days were given for revisions, and after completing the revisions, the paper was directly accepted for publication one week later. Overall, the editor was very responsible, and the reviewers were also very professional. I hope the journal will continue to improve.
