It took two months to submit the manuscript for major revisions. Two reviewers raised more than twenty questions and requested additional testing. Therefore, I applied to the editor for an extension of one month to submit the revised manuscript.

The questions raised were relatively simple but required strong expertise. The testing was required to be very thorough, even evaluating the errors of the testing equipment. The revised manuscript ended up being over 30 pages long, almost as long as a small research paper.

On the second day after resubmission, the editor accepted it without sending it back for further review. I suppose they must have appreciated the thoroughness of the revisions.

At first, I submitted to another journal under Springer. The response I received was that it was not suitable for publication and they advised me to submit elsewhere. They provided me with suggestions to submit to 5 other journals, and I chose Applied Physics A. I resubmitted on June 13th and underwent major revisions for a month, followed by minor revisions. Finally, on September 20th, it was accepted! The reviewers demonstrated strong expertise in their field and provided critical questions. The editor was also diligent and responsible. I feel that Springer's article assistance service is quite good. They provide submission advice based on the content of each article, which is excellent.
