ISSN / eISSN

Aims and Scope
Applied Mathematical Modelling focuses on research related to the mathematical modelling of engineering and environmental processes, manufacturing, and industrial systems. A significant emerging area of research activity involves multiphysics processes, and contributions in this area are particularly encouraged.

This influential publication covers a wide spectrum of subjects including heat transfer, fluid mechanics, CFD, and transport phenomena; solid mechanics and mechanics of metals; electromagnets and MHD; reliability modelling and system optimization; finite volume, finite element, and boundary element procedures; modelling of inventory, industrial, manufacturing and logistics systems for viable decision making; civil engineering systems and structures; mineral and energy resources; relevant software engineering issues associated with CAD and CAE; and materials and metallurgical engineering.

Applied Mathematical Modelling is primarily interested in papers developing increased insights into real-world problems through novel mathematical modelling, novel applications or a combination of these. Papers employing existing numerical techniques must demonstrate sufficient novelty in the solution of practical problems. Papers on fuzzy logic in decision-making or purely financial mathematics are normally not considered. Research on fractional differential equations, bifurcation, and numerical methods needs to include practical examples. Population dynamics must solve realistic scenarios. Papers in the area of logistics and business modelling should demonstrate meaningful managerial insight. Submissions with no real-world application will not be considered.

Some people say that this is a top journal in mathematics, which is simply ridiculous and self-deceptive. It was categorized under mathematics just because its name has "mathematic" in it. In reality, it has nothing to do with those who work in mathematics. Applied mathematics is not about studying mathematics, but rather applying existing mathematical theories to modeling and simulation, and sometimes even improving and applying common optimization methods. The true top journals in mathematics are Annals of Mathematics, Inventiones Mathematicae, Acta Mathematica, and Journal of the American Mathematical Society. Because mathematical journals are difficult and have few readers in a small circle, their impact factors are not high. Journals like "applied mathematical modeling," which study modeling problems in various disciplines using applied mathematical theories, are grouped together with journals that focus on research in mathematics. This gives them an advantage and places them in the top tier. Some people even delude themselves into thinking that they have published a top mathematics journal. Come on! Applied mathematics is not about studying mathematics! Many of the articles published here were rejected by their own discipline's top journals and were then submitted here. In reality, they are just articles of a mediocre level in their respective disciplines. It's cunning to claim that one has published in a top mathematics journal after being rejected elsewhere. High-level articles from various disciplines won't be submitted here.

Some people say this is a top journal in mathematics, which is simply ridiculous and self-deception. Because it has "mathematic" in its name, it is classified under mathematics. In fact, it has nothing to do with those who do mathematics. Applied mathematics is not about researching mathematics, but rather about applying existing mathematical theories to modeling and simulation, and sometimes improving the application of common methods such as optimization. The real top journals in mathematics are "Annals of Mathematics," "Inventiones Mathematicae," "Acta Mathematica," and the "Journal Of the American Mathematical Society." Because mathematics journals are difficult and have very few readers in a small circle, their impact factors are not high. Journals that focus on applied mathematical modeling, which researches modeling issues in various disciplines using applied mathematical theories, are lumped together with journals that focus on researching mathematics. This gives them an advantage and places them in the top tier. Some people are truly self-deluded, thinking they have published a top journal in mathematics. Come on! Applied mathematics is not about researching mathematics! Many articles that are rejected from their own discipline's top journals are submitted here, and they are actually just articles of mediocre quality. It's quite sneaky to turn around and claim that they have made it into a top mathematics journal. High-quality articles from various disciplines would not be submitted here.
