The entire process went smoothly. I conducted aerodynamic acoustics calculations, which belong to the nonlinear dynamics section of this journal. Both reviewers asked very professional questions. Especially the second reviewer, who highlighted and annotated specific details of the article, greatly helped improve its quality. Additionally, the senior and junior editors at the editorial department were very friendly. They reviewed the article patiently, although there was a slight delay due to a signature issue, they were understanding and provided time for proofreading revisions. Physica Scripta is a journal sponsored by the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. It is highly regarded by European researchers. It is relatively niche in China, but last year, a study on roadbed dynamic response was fortunate enough to be recognized and published. The first and second rounds of review typically take about two months each. Once accepted, the article receives a DOI within 24 hours, and an unformatted version can be downloaded online. The proof system is user-friendly, but only provides a one-day window for revisions. After proofing, the article will be officially published within 10 days. It takes an additional two weeks to one month for the article to be searchable on Web of Science (WoS).
