The first sub-issue of life, focusing on a small problem that has been worked on for a long time, was repeatedly revised and submitted to Nature Geoscience. It took three months for the initial review and major revisions, and one month to complete the modifications and upload. After 25 days of re-review, an email was received from the editorial department stating that they would be happy to publish the article, pending minor revisions. As an individual, the article does not have any prestigious names attached to it. I am very fortunate and grateful to Nature Geoscience for giving me this opportunity.

Submitted for 2 months, it has been under consideration as a manuscript all along, without being sent for review, and ultimately rejected. Moreover, the reasons for rejection are very perfunctory, stating that the subject matter is not suitable for publication. I really don't understand why this journal is so irresponsible. It took 2 months, and now there are many other good journals where the paper could have been published within 2 months. Please consider the time sensitivity of research results carefully.
