ISSN / eISSN

Aims and Scope
The Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials is concerned with the mechanical deformation, damage and failure under applied forces, of biological material (at the tissue, cellular and molecular levels) and of biomaterials, i.e. those materials which are designed to mimic or replace biological materials.

The primary focus of the journal is the synthesis of materials science, biology, and medical and dental science. Reports of fundamental scientific investigations are welcome, as are articles concerned with the practical application of materials in medical devices. Both experimental and theoretical work is of interest; theoretical papers will normally include comparison of predictions with experimental data, though we recognize that this may not always be appropriate. The journal also publishes technical notes concerned with emerging experimental or theoretical techniques, letters to the editor and, by invitation, review articles and papers describing existing techniques for the benefit of an interdisciplinary readership.

Verified Reviews
Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.
The editor is very irresponsible. The reviewers they found are not professional at all and seem to have no knowledge in the field. It feels like the reviewers didn't even read my article. They said I didn't write certain things and that my model is wrong. The content the reviewers said I didn't write is actually covered in the corresponding section of my third chapter. If the editor had just taken the time to read my article along with the reviewers' comments, they would realize how outrageous it is. This editor is also not like editors from other journals who frequently send emails. In the rejection letter, the editor did not provide their own opinion on the article. They only sent emails for submission, peer review, and rejection. I didn't even know the editor's name before receiving the rejection letter, as the previous two emails were automated replies.

Posted at the end of July 20, this time there were possibly more submissions, and a manuscript number was assigned in early August, one week later. In mid-September, review comments were provided, with a few minor suggestions from two reviewers. The editor requested minor revisions. In mid-October, the manuscript was returned for revisions and remained under review until it was accepted on March 15th, 21. In the meantime, the editor mentioned that the original reviewers unfortunately contracted COVID-19...thus, the process was delayed.
