Aims and Scope
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry’s mission is the rapid publication of excellent and high-impact research articles on fundamental and applied topics of analytical and bioanalytical measurement science. Its scope is broad, and ranges from novel measurement platforms and their characterization to multidisciplinary approaches that effectively address important scientific problems. The Editors encourage submissions presenting innovative analytical research in concept, instrumentation, methods, and/or applications, including: mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and electroanalysis; advanced separations; analytical strategies in “-omics” and imaging, bioanalysis, and sampling; miniaturized devices, medical diagnostics, sensors; analytical characterization of nano- and biomaterials; chemometrics and advanced data analysis.

ABC's processing speed is really amazing. I had my article rejected within seconds by ACS AMI, rejected after submission to AC for review, and rejected after submission to Nano Research for review. Then, I was advised to submit to ABC, so I promptly did. Honestly, ABC is really impressive in the field of analytical chemistry. It is also an established and authoritative journal, worth investing in. I hope ABC continues to improve, even though its current Impact Factor is 4.01 (it seems that the journal wants to further expand its influence). Submitted on 2/27, under review on 2/29, received rejection and invitation for resubmission on 3/18, resubmitted on 4/06, made technical and formatting modifications on 4/12, and formally accepted on 4/13.

The topic is relatively niche compared to other magazines, and the review process is really slow. On average, each round takes more than two months, even for major revisions, the review process takes over a month. I don't know if it's because of Christmas, but it has been over ten days since "awaiting decision" and there is still no result. The editor responsible for contacting the author has always had a good attitude and always replies to questions, usually within a day. The submission process is also fast, usually taking about a day. However, the review process is completely dependent on luck.
