Try it and see. The editor hasn't responded for over a month, so I sent an email to remind them. A week later, I received news of a major revision. There were two reviewers, one had negative feedback and the other had more positive feedback. They raised some questions which I answered well. It took over a week to receive the acceptance after sending it out.

Indeed, they constantly recommend sub-journals, and it's okay to decline. However, the wording of the letter for major revision initially seemed like a rejection, which was quite frustrating.

The top journal in our field, listed as a Q1 journal by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. I don't understand why there are two people constantly criticizing this journal because their papers were rejected. This journal is highly regarded in our field and it is extremely difficult to get published in. Perhaps people criticize it because the journal often transfers articles to its subsidiary journals? It is true that its subsidiary journals are not as good, but this journal itself is excellent.
