Aims and Scope
The Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry is the foremost international journal devoted to the interdisciplinary subject of electrochemistry in all its aspects, theoretical as well as applied.

Electrochemistry is a wide ranging area that is in a state of continuous evolution. Rather than compiling a long list of topics covered by the Journal, the editors would like to draw particular attention to the key issues of novelty, topicality and quality. Papers should present new and interesting electrochemical science in a way that is accessible to the reader. The presentation and discussion should be at a level that is consistent with the international status of the Journal. Reports describing the application of well-established techniques to problems that are essentially technical will not be accepted. Similarly, papers that report observations but fail to provide adequate interpretation will be rejected by the Editors. Papers dealing with technical electrochemistry should be submitted to other specialist journals unless the authors can show that their work provides substantially new insights into electrochemical processes.

Overall, the submission process was fast. The first review took 17 days, and the second review took less than 7 days. Each time, the submission was with the editor on the same day and under review the next day. The first review required major revisions, with two reviewers raising a total of 13 questions. Some questions were difficult to answer, and additional experiments were requested, which took 20 days to complete. In general, the reviewers were fair and the editor was efficient. However, I spent more than ten days working on the major revisions, with a ten-day gap in between where no work was done. If there could be some improvement in the speed, it would be even faster. Finally, I would like to thank the reviewers for their accurate feedback, as well as Professor Xia from Nanjing University and Professor Marcin Opallo from Poland.

First time selecting and submitting, I was very fortunate to be accepted. The journal is very reputable and the editorial staff is very friendly. Additionally, both reviewers are very professional in the field of electrocatalysis, with a focus on theoretical and mechanistic research. After major revisions, I finally received good news. However, the journal's review process is not very fast, and I hope that it will continue to improve!
