Aims and Scope
The Journal of Chromatography A provides a forum for the publication of original research and critical reviews on all aspects of fundamental and applied separation science. The scope of the journal includes chromatography and related techniques, electromigration techniques (e.g. electrophoresis, electrochromatography), hyphenated and other multi-dimensional techniques, sample preparation, and detection methods such as mass spectrometry. Contributions consist mainly of research papers dealing with the theory of separation methods, instrumental developments and analytical and preparative applications of general interest.

Upon the first submission, the formatting of the submitted materials was incorrect. After making revisions, the article was resubmitted on 24th June and sent for review the following day. The review process involved three reviewers and took three weeks. The editor provided feedback requesting major revisions, including the addition of an experiment. After three weeks of revisions, the manuscript was further polished (with a language editing certificate provided). The revised version was accepted the day after it was resubmitted.

The revision of the article was delayed for a month until the final deadline. The process was fast. There were two reviewers who provided approximately thirty comments in total. The article required major revisions, with modifications made at the word and sentence level. It was accepted a week later.
