Aims and Scope
The Journal of Affective Disorders publishes papers concerned with affective disorders in the widest sense: depression, mania, mood spectrum, emotions and personality, anxiety and stress. It is interdisciplinary and aims to bring together different approaches for a diverse readership. Top quality papers will be accepted dealing with any aspect of affective disorders, including neuroimaging, cognitive neurosciences, genetics, molecular biology, experimental and clinical neurosciences, pharmacology, neuroimmunoendocrinology, intervention and treatment trials.

Second article: Submitted on Sep 06, 2021, and sent for review three days later. "Under Review" has been updated twice, with the latest update on Oct 16, 2021. It is still "Under Review" at the moment.
Based on publishing and submission experience, journals tend to favor topics related to depression. However, it is too slow and causing impatience. If in a hurry to go online, it is advised to be cautious about submitting.

During the period, I asked the editor why there was no feedback from the review
The editor has been unresponsive
Then I contacted Elsevier customer service before reaching the editor
They said they have contacted 27 reviewers but no one is willing to review?
So I decisively applied for withdrawal!!!
And it was only after sending many emails that they finally responded to me
What a garbage magazine, it wasted eight months!!!
