Aims and Scope

Computers & Structures publishes advances in the development and use of computational methods for the solution of problems in engineering and the sciences. The range of appropriate contributions is wide, and includes papers on establishing appropriate mathematical models and their numerical solution in all areas of mechanics. The journal also includes articles that present a substantial review of a field in the topics of the journal.

The review process is fast, with results usually notified within about a month for each round. There are a total of three rounds of revisions, taking approximately five months in total. The reviewers are mostly experts in the field, and they expect the articles to have both methodological and theoretical innovations. It is recommended to emphasize the advantages of the methods or provide comparisons with existing methods when writing.

Submitted at the end of January, received first-round comments in mid-June, with the editor for three weeks! Second-round with editor took 10 days, and it took over a month for the review process. Accepted! There were a total of five reviewers, and received four sets of comments! This journal is relatively difficult, after all, it only publishes a little over a hundred articles per year, with an acceptance rate of about ten percent!
