Aims and Scope
Biogeosciences (BG) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on all aspects of the interactions between the biological, chemical and physical processes in terrestrial or extraterrestrial life with the geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere. The objective of the journal is to cut across the boundaries of established sciences and achieve an interdisciplinary view of these interactions. Experimental, conceptual and modelling approaches are welcome.

egu's Biogeosciences and agu's JGR-Biogeosciences are sister journals, but I prefer egu's Biogeosciences because the formatting is very visually appealing (hahaha, yes, it's quite shallow). Europeans like to submit important works on biogeochemical cycles to this journal, and it seems that there are more articles on models, as well as a preference for lengthy discussions. I study the forest C-N cycle, and it took about 1 month from submission to open discussion. The peer review process, including major and minor revisions, took 3 months (the feedback was very detailed... the paper was basically restructured). After acceptance, it took another month to be published.

May I ask if the journal requires uploading the track change version of the manuscript, should the modified parts be highlighted in red or should the manuscript be revised in the reviewing mode, so that others can see the changes made even if they are not accepted?
