I submitted two papers to OCF, and both took about a month for the review results. The first paper I submitted to OL was rejected, so I submitted it to OCF for major revisions. The second paper was rejected by Science China Chemistry, so I submitted it to OCF for minor revisions. Two months later, a similar and more universally applicable paper was published in OL. I also have two papers in OL (one was originally submitted to ACS Catalysis but was accepted after being transferred, and the other was accepted within two weeks, and another one in JOC was also accepted after two weeks with minor revisions). For my final master's paper, I aimed for a high impact journal but was rejected and submitted it to Science China Chemistry, which took about a month for minor revisions. Overall, the quality of domestic journals in recent years is not inferior to that of well-established foreign journals, but their reputation may need time to settle. Previously, once our research group's submissions reached OL, the subsequent order would be CC-OCF-JOC-OBC. But now, if it is rejected by CC, it is not even certain if it will be sent for review after being submitted to OCF. The competition for submissions is fierce, and changing the corresponding author could make a significant difference in the level of the journal. It relies on personal connections based on reputation, and I am getting tired of this field. Returning to the main topic, the rise of domestic journals is particularly evident, with journals like CJOC and CCL approaching OL and CC. CCS Chemistry is aiming to create China's own JACS and Angew. As for the specific future development, we will have to wait and see.

This journal has been included in the blacklist of Zhongxin Institute. Some people say it's a bogus list, but many schools recognize it. Our Yangzhou University recognizes it. Many other provincial universities in Jiangsu also recognize it. Therefore, publishing in OCF is invalid for evaluating job titles, invalid for graduation, and cannot be counted as an achievement at the end of the year. Recently, when calculating achievements, OCF's score is 0. I'm not making empty claims, you can ask friends from Yangzhou University to find out. At Yangzhou University, OCF is considered a bogus journal.

In addition, there's CEJ, with an impact factor of 16, which is also not easy to publish in. But because it has entered the blacklist of Zhongxin Institute, it is not counted as a valid publication at Yangzhou University either. This year, several young teachers in our college regretted publishing in OCF and CEJ.

In fact, OCF is more embarrassing than CEJ. No matter how high the impact factor of CEJ is, it is still recognized by external funders. What about OCF? Even if it is recognized by funders, it is only recognized within a narrow circle. Funders recognizing it means there are very limited opportunities, very narrow.
