Open to faculty members and postdoctoral scholars; PhD candidates with u201cAll But Dissertationu201d (ABD) status; and scholars with terminal degrees in areas that do not offer a PhD (such as MFA, MLIS, MSW, JD, etc.).
Description
Thousands of readers visit the Newberry every year to pursue new scholarship, genealogy research, or a personal interest in a favorite humanities subject. Short-Term Fellowships provide opportunities for individuals who have a specific need for the Newberryu2019s collection. Fellows are welcome to stay in residence at the Newberry beyond the terms of their fellowship, but the amount of their stipend cannot be increased beyond the initial award.
