Description

Outline Provides funding for young researcher to start research projects in Sweden.The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) that supports research in natural sciences, engineering and medicine allocates annually about 20 grants for the call Future Research Leaders. Each grant will be of SEK 12 million (incl. overhead), covering a period of five years. The aim of this programme is to support and promote young scientists of the highest standing, who have the potential to become future leaders of academic and/or industrial research in Sweden. The purpose is also that the future research leader will understand the process of implementing research results. The future research leader is at a later stage of the research career expected to assume responsibility of constellations larger than her/his own research group. Eligibility What is funded SEK 12 million each (incl. overhead). This programme is open to young scientists from Sweden as well as from other countries. The grant is intended for innovative research at a Swedish research organisation - university or public or private non-profit research institute - of the choice of the grantee. The grant is primarily intended for building a research group. Maximum 20 % of the grant may be used to cover the recipients own salary. Duration 5 years
