Eligibility
Fellowships are restricted to medical graduates or post-doctoral scientists working in the field of gastroenterology and relevant fields of bioscience. Core limits its awards to applicants who are normally resident in the UK.Preference will be given to candidates who intend to pursue research in the future.
Description
Applications are invited for the full-time fellowship for research into diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract, including cancer. Research should be on the oesophagus, stomach or duodenum.Studies on the liver and pancreas are excluded as they are funded elsewhere.Fellowships can include an element of research training overseas, up to 6 months, provided that fellows intend to return to the UK. Core will not finance expenditure on consumables in overseas institutions. The only exception to this is where the work is in a developing country. Eligibility Fellowships are restricted to medical graduates or post-doctoral scientists working in the field of gastroenterology and relevant fields of bioscience.
